One Version of Flypaper

Starting on Saturday, Sept. 13, we are changing how we offer our product - there will only be one version of Flypaper. We will no longer have a free version and a Pro version. Flypaper will include a free 30-day trial of all features and we will offer monthly or annual subscriptions.

I describe the change in this video and there is more information here.

Your reason for the change is really to get more people paying than using the free version. It's not because people couldn't see the value because they couldn't use the full version.

Real pity, especially since there is so many misleading "Free"s all over the website. Which is why I downloaded it and installed it, now have to un-install it. If you no longer offer the free version please remove the "Free" on your website.

There are many products on the web that offer a 30 day trial and then after the trial disable certain features. Wouldn't that be feasible with your product? Then you wouldn't have to worry about creating two different applications and the users of the once free product will be happy once again.

Wow - this is such a surprise and a disappointment. I have created 3 stories with Flypaper - I'm not a big user but I did enjoy the product as did my customers. But it's just not worth the fee you are charging for me to upgrade to Pro. Perhaps you will rethink this decision.

The ONLY good feature about your software was that it was free. If you can't even GIVE it away, what makes you think you can SELL IT???

So I'm sitting here at a corporate desk, interested in your product, and I'm blocked.

Because you require Flash 9, and the administrator hasn't updated the player - and why should they?

So - I may come back. If I remember.

Obstacle to sale - requires possibly too high a technology standard.
