Convert PowerPoint to Flypaper

It's been one of the most frequently requested features, and finally we have the ability to convert a PowerPoint file into a Flypaper Story. Someday over coffee, I can tell you about the wrong turns we took in trying to convert PowerPoint to a swf and then bring into Flypaper, but that's old news.

Now you can convert text, audio and video from PowerPoint straight to Flypaper. Everything else comes in as a graphic.  Play this fast demo to see how it's done and what it does and what it does not do...

I'm a PowerPoint designer looking to spread my wings and take flight into Web 2.0...! Keep up the good work - and the more ppt functionality you can add the better - except by then you'll be better than PowerPoint, so who will need it?! Oops, sorry Bill...

It would be great if a Flypaper presentation could be published to a PP...I know, it's taking a step back, but no matter how great participants think the flypaper presentation is, they ask me if I could convert it to PP. The primary reason I find is they want a single file interactive content. Using Flypaper, to get a single file, I have to pub as .mov and loose the interactivity and if I pub as a full screen presentation to keep the interactivity, its multi-file hierarchy.

Thanks to you both for the comments. Julie, right now in Flypaper you can do a Save As and save your story as a single interactive (exe) file. Anyone can run that exe file to view your presentation on their local computer. The .exe extension is difficult to e-mail, so under the Share toolbar list we have "E-mail the story". The first option will save as a single exe file, and put it inside a .zip file (so it is as small as possible and easy to e-mail).

We have heard from other users that they would like the two-way conversion PowerPoint to Flypaper, and Flypaper to PowerPoint. We will work on getting PowerPoint to Flypaper first and then we will tackle the other way around.

Thanks for the comments. Keep them coming.

Congratulations on an outstanding product.

Beta version allowed for saving as web stories but Beta II doesn't

Can I uninstall Beta II and re-install Beta version?

I need the capacity to load web stories to my websites and can't wait until PRO release (date isn't posted anywhere).

My business has come to a complete halt. Please help.

Unfortunately, you cannot go backwards with versions. Flypaper is a connected application and is tightly tied to our flypaper.net Web content. This is what makes it easy to search for templates and stories and quickly share your Story to flypaper.net.

Terry, I'll send you an e-mail that can help you for now. Flypaper Pro is coming very soon.
